New York University in London occupies a row of beautifully refurbished Georgian houses in Bedford Way WC1, looking out on leafy Bedford Square at the heart of the University quarter of Bloomsbury. Our mighty neighbour is the British Museum - through our classroom windows we have been able watch, with great fascination, the recent growth of extensions to the Museum.
NYUL is served by numerous transport links such as bus and tube stops. The mainline north-bound rail stations at Euston, King's Cross and St. Pancras International are a short stroll away, the latter connecting with Paris in two-and-a-quarter hours. Russell Square tube station connects to Heathrow Airport in 45 minutes via the Piccadilly Line.
As mentioned, the cultural resources of the British Museum are next door, and the British Library is a stroll away. There are plenty of cafes, restaurants, bars and hotels throughout Bloomsbury and nearby Fitzrovia. The area is also close to the shopping and entertainment districts of the West End.
